OCMS members have access exclusive access to free CME, reduced pricing on PPE and telehealth platforms, ongoing peer support, leadership opportunities and collective advocacy at all levels of government. The Medical Society works with the NY Congressional Delegation, AMA and Federation of Medicine to improve the practice environment in New York. We also provide your staff with professional development CEU courses on topics like billing and coding, medical office management and dealing with problem insurance claims denials, and they are guaranteed a seat at our annual Ask the Carriers Conference, where they can meet in person with major CNY insurance carriers to discuss specific claims issues. 

In Onondaga county, OCMS acts as a liaison between physicians, our local legislators, and the community! Each year we host a legislative forum with our local representatives and city officials, in which our members can have face-to-face conversations about their concerns with those who make the decisions that have a such tremendous impact on their practice. We also staff and organize the Medical Society booth at the New York State Fair, where OCMS physicians, residents and medical students participate in public outreach to promote the health of our community. We also have the local media connections needed to profile our members and provide a platform for them to raise public awareness about their initiatives and the challenges practices are facing. 

OCMS organizes fun, collegial events that give you the chance to get to know your colleagues in a more relaxed environment, like Ski Weekends, Physician-Student Mixers, luncheons and cocktail hours.
