WORKERS' COMPENSATION APPLICATION PROCESSING
The Onondaga County Medical Society reviews physician credentials and finalizes all Workers' Compensation Board applications once they are submitted to the New York State Workers' Compensation Board. This service is provided at no cost for OCMS members. Click HERE to join us!
If you are not member, there is a $525 processing fee, which must be received before the application can be processed.
The New York State Workers Compensation Board no longer accepts paper applications and now requires any new Authorization to Treat or IME application to be completed online by the physician. The application process can be found here on the NYS WCB site.
Please select Onondaga County on the application as the County where to send the application.
OCMS will then process the application within the 45 days and return to the NYS Workers Compensation Board for final authorization. The application must have the required documentation electronically attached for the application to be processed.
Processing Fee (Free to Members!) The processing fee is $525 which must be received by OCMS to complete processing of all new applications. Renewal applications for physicians already authorized to treat Workers Compensation patients are not processed by OCMS and therefore there is no processing fee required.
